The Monsoons this year is playing real hard to get!! It has totally broken all records of being fashionably late and is behaving like a cantankerous old lady now... We're done playing the suitor, trying to cajole and please her and praying she decides to show up so us mere mortals can have some much needed rains...for some soothing wet trees, roads and houses to look at for our poor scorched eyes and parched souls!!
It's been an unbearably hot Summer. And the temperature has managed to break it's own record everyday...people, animals and vegetation has been sacrificed at the unmerciful altar of Summer.
The music industry with its multitude of songs singing paens to heroines soaked in the rain is at a loss and working hard to figure out to to make the heat work for them instead. So, in keeping with times, the leading ladies of Bollywood all prefer the "hot" tag nowadays.... Please understand, they're just being smart and following the current trend!!
We've overworked our airconditioners and fans and used more water from the dwindling resoureces to keep ourselves cool and comfortable. And Those who have not been able to do that have gone and spent hours in the cool comfort of the Malls away from the bad tempered afternoon sun! Either ways The Goenka's coffers are going cha chinggg!!!!
So i would think it's a lil unfair of Madame Monsoon now. We've paid our dues to the electric supply, we've taught our kids how important the presence of green is in our environment for cooler summers and sooner monsoons and stayed off the over congested roads which in turn gave the city roads and pavements a breather and brought down pollution!! ( but that also has to do with the price of petrol touching the sky!!)
I would think it's enough of high handedness. But, no. She still remains aloof. This kinda tantrum is so not cool gurl... Would you be kind enough to make an appearnce now? Please?? Pretty please???
