Election and the excitement!

I do not understand politics. Period. Not an iota of it. I either don't have the knack for it or I'm just dumb, because everyone around me seems to be an expert of sorts with views and opinions and pretty hot debates. Either ways, I just needed to clarify that - that I'm politically shortchanged!! ;)

I do not want to get into a debate on a social platform about why I feel the way I feel and certainly do not want to have my statement torn into and dissected. Neither would I like my post turned into a all you can eat buffet with my fellow members arguing and shooting written barbs back and forth, however, intelligent and socially aware they may sound.

I just do not understand how a mass murderer can be the most prominent individual in my country. We certainly did not take another tiny moustachioed gentleman lightly so what has changed for us now?

Are we blinkered? Are we so desperate for a change that we've lost our ability to think straight? Are we moronic? Would you have felt the same way if it was your family that got slaughtered that day? 

They say he's new age. That he has plans. That he's the right candidate to give a sense of direction to the country. That he has leadership qualities that command a battleship of change towards this nation that is clawing at it's own gnarly roots to expedite the process of upheaval. He sounds like the next Messiah! 

Well I would rather take it with a pinch of salt than be subjected to a plateful of bland crap! 

I still say that I do not understand politics...so forgive me if I'm naive.

Would I believe a pedophile if he claimed to be possessed by the devil? Do we think that a terrorist should be given a fair trial? When was the last time a rapist was not thought worse than an animal? I ask questions. I don't have all the answers so I ask questions. I don't try to understand the current situation in the country simply because I do not want to. No, i did not forget to write the rest of the sentence and yes that is just it. The country and it's political history is messy and I'm not a vacuum cleaner! 

It's quite simple for me. You see, when you don't claim to understand what is beyond you or pretend to comprehend the idiotic, frenzied shenanigans of the crores who belong in this country, you quite easily see it like it is. You do not need to see what kind of a performance the current circus act will put up next. You just know that it will be one that you're not going to pay to watch. 

So like I said, I do not understand it. Not politics nor the ones who choose to openly make mockery of themselves. Coz, unless you're fooling yourself you could possibly not be believing the spiel a mass murderer confidently dishes out to you, masking it's stench with floral fragrance, it's appearance behind hues so holy and bright and it's flavour with exotically spiced long term plans of growth and prosperity...

Hail the new age moustachioed man from the land of the murdered men, women and children. Coz, they were not our's to grieve for but a mere digit in the long list of data in this glorious land of the zombies. 

Open the prison gates-

Let the convicts go free...
